Mission Viejo CA Senior Paralegal Analyst Single
Has it really been 10 years since our last reunion?  Not much has changed since the 40th.  Sadly, I lost my dear Mom Emma earlier this year.   I continue to work full time; counting the days to retirement.  I spend my free time with friends, family and my Pugs, and always house and yard maintenance.  The "now" picture was taken this last Christmas Eve.  I entertained Mom for the last time.   Cheers to all!  Looking forward to the 50th!  See you soon.

PS:  I just took a look at the photo albums from the 35th and 40th reunions.  Amazing how so many look the same.  Sometimes it takes a good look to remember, but, the memories soon return.  All the same; hope we have name tags!!  :)

It’s been 50 years and I am looking forward to being at the football game (go lancers) lol.  I remember when still a senior I thought how cool it would be, to someday be at the alum game in 50 years, an God has blessed me with being still here and able to attend.   It will be good to see all of you and also remember those who have passed on.  One thing in particular from HS is: I remember is Mr Bookbinder waking me up in class and telling me “Mr Thomson you better stay awake as someday when you’re in Vietnam, you will want to know what you’re fighting for”.  LOL He was right and I remembered he said that.  I have had a good and I think interesting life since graduation.  I was drafted and did my two years of active duty (1969-71), after graduation obtained an AA from Palomar College while working for SD County’s Road Department.  I received a BA in Business from St Mary’s College in Moraga, and a Bachelors in Theological Studies from Northern California School of Deacons.  I have worked in a shipyard in San Pedro as a Marine Electrician and worked my way into the office there as an Estimator, I also worked as Laborer in the SF Bay area and worked as a Contract Manager for Lockheed Missile and Space Company, and worked for a non-profit in Sacramento for 10 years.  For the years until until my retirement in 2014, I worked as a Technical Assistance Provider for a Native American Organization.  I was blessed to be able to work with almost all of the 550 native tribes in the US.  Along the way I was married twice and raised 3 children 1 boy and 2 girls and have 4 grands.  Looking forward to catching up with all of you.  As I said I am retired now and I love it where I now live in the hills of West Virginia. Littleton CO HR (finally part-time) Widowed 2
FINALLY I get to see y'all (y'all covers a range of feelings...I found out after living in The South for 19 years!!) I Have missed all of the other reunions, so cannot wait for the 50th.  Just like Chris Norris, I started flying for PSA>USAir>American, but I only lasted 28 years! Had 2 very early divorces in my 20's,  then i met my love, Phil who workd for Marriott.  Between my airlines and his hotels, our twin sons (now 31) thought traveleing for free and wonderful hotel upgrades was the Norm...actually it was :-)   When our boys were 16, Phil passed away from cancer.   Moved to Littleton, CO last year and I LOVE LOVE LOVE being back out West, do NOT miss humidity, hurricanes and tornados!!!  Mark and his wife Rachael moved here 5 years ago and Matt just married an Alabama girl, but both want desperatley to move West also. No g'children yet. After being without a dog (Labs) for 5 years, I am finally down to part time (been in HR the last 11 years and my company was all in favor of me going remote in CO)and felt I had the time to constantly say no-no- no to a pup so have have added Copper (after my first year season ski pass to Copper mountain) to my life.  Reading through so many of your profiles certainly shows that we have a very diverse and fascinating group ofclassmates!!  Cat House, PE teachers, deep sea fishermen  to Tango dancers...can't wait to give y'all hugs! September 30, 1949 Naperville IL Retired HS Social Studies teacher route99.org Married 5
It's been pretty emotional re-connecting with the Class of '67 through the FB and web page. I left Chula Vista in 1967 and never really returned. So to scroll through the classmate names and to connect the faces and friendships of 1967 has been a trip down a Memory Lane I haven't traveled for many a decade. And then to read the list of those of our classmates who have passed on - even though I had no contact for fifty years I realize with a heavy heart what a place they held there; they have all died simply too young. So for those of us still among the living, it will do my heart good to see you again, and to replace those 1967 memories with real faces and real lives.
I graduated from Wheaton College with a History major and a teaching certificate, though it took me another fifteen years to figure out that I was made to teach high school history. Mr. Rindone was my role model at HHS - a great storyteller. I loved listening to his stories that made the dead come alive, and I tried to instill the same enthusiasm for these people as he instilled in me. I knew he also had a powerful sense of social justice, and that is another passion I tried to pass on.
I have two daughters by my first wife, and gained two step-daughters through my second wife. We also raised a foster daughter for five years. But I had plenty of "sons", as I coached college, club and high school soccer for the better part of 30 years.
I retired in 2010 and since then have been wonderfully busy, serving my historic African-American Chicago southside church as historian and archivist, singing in a chorale (which I hadn't done since HHS!), READING!, volunteering with my local historical society, raising political hell on FB, raising our granddaughter, and starting a totally new athletic endeavor - endurance mountain biking. My wife will teach for two more years when she will join me in retirement.
I look forward to seeing EVERYBODY in October. :-)

We're planning on attending and looking forward to seeing everyone. We're staying busy between the grandkids with one driving now. Also off roading and riding our horses. The dogs also keep us busy doing our agility training. I used to think that only old people went to a 50th reunion but I guess we've joined that group. See you soon Bruce Send Bruce a MessageSend Bruce a Message

Chula Vista CA Procurement Specialist Divorced 1
The 40th has come and gone and what an event. Now we are working on the 50th. What a job that has been.

I retired from 36 years Federal Civil Service for the Navy on  Dec l 2007.  Went back to work as a Contractor doing Gov't contracts and realized I just couldn't give up working. I am still working and have no plans on retiring soon.

I still live in Chula Vista and although our family numbers have diminished - my Mother and Son still live in the area.

You may ask yourself why is there a picture posted here with a turtle. You may remember "Pokey" from the 40th in my mothers back yard.  Unfortunately at a ripe old age of 125 - we had to put him to sleep in July 2017.  He was part of the family through generations.

Hope all is well with you and hope to see you at the 50th!

See you all soon.

Bonita CA Food lover and avid home cook www.gdaysouffle.com Married 2
After majoring in dance at UCLA and Mills College, I taught dance at the college level, which eventually brought me to Adelaide, South Australia in 1979. I eventually threw away my leotards and worked as a financial planner and portoflio manager for a number of years. Since retiring 6 years ago, I have become extremely interested in food and cooking- I spent a total of 9 months studying at the Le Cordon Bleu school in Paris and recently spent 5 weeks studying Spanish cooking in Madrid. (One thing I have learned though: if you want to become a glutton for punsihment, then be a culinary student)! I also keep busy with my food blog G'day Soufflé.
I have two Australian-born children and my husband of 40 years and I spend part of the year living in Bonita, California and the other part in Adelaide, South Australia. I look forward to seeing you all at the 50th reunion in October!

Boise ID Artist / retired Married 2
Nice website!  Thank you, Bill -

In the 5 decades since graduating from Hilltop, I've enjoyed a variety of adventures & relationships, held diverse jobs, survived one 27-yr. marriage, raised 2 great sons[see Family Photo section], got a degree in composition from Mills College & lost weight.  Remarried in 2010 & retired to Boise 6 mos. later.  I'm grateful for love, good health, security & relative sanity!

Currently, I create & sell pen/pencil abstracts, play music, maintain a minimal fitness regimen, volunteer, spend time w/ family & friends & travel occasionally.  My older son is an engineer at GELI in SF.  Younger son is preparing for career #2 at med/grad school, Univ. of Pittsburgh.  No grandkids yet!

Reconnecting with some folks at the 40th reunion was fun, and put me back in touch with several alums in person & online.  Not sure if I'll attend the 50th, but feel free to write or message/friend me on FB.   Take care - peace.
