Divide CO Director of Operations/Home Care & Hospice Married 2
Chuck Hallam and I married 18 months after graduation from Hilltop.  Thirty eight years later, we live in the mountains of Colorado above Colorado Springs, after moving from Ventura in 1993.  We were ecstatic to have our daughter and her family join us here in 1997.  We are grandparents to 14 year old Ashley, 12 Year old twins, Ryan and Cory, and 2 year old Zachary.

We are very proud to be the parents of a Navy Chief.  Our son, Zachary, enlisted right after high school and specializes in computerized missile systems.  His career has taken him all over the world, including service on a destroyer during the first phase of Operation Freedom.  That was a tough six months.

While we lived in California, my career was in commercial insurance.  Moving to Colorado allowed me to pursue other interests which eventually led me to Prospect Home Care & Hospice and my role as Director of Operations.  In 1994, Chuck became an independent business owner and is a concessionaire to the U.S. Forest Service.  His business operates and maintains campgrounds in Park and Jefferson Counties.  His "office" encompasses one of the most beautiful areas of Colorado.

My parents live in the same house between Hilltop Junior High and Hilltop High School that they moved to when I was 18 months old.  At 86 and 88, they live independently and we are fortunate to still have them.

Although I was in attendance, it was challenging to identify the people in the pictures from the 35th Reunion.  I expect another five years added will only increase that challenge.  The website is a wonderful way to catch up.   I, too, thank the committee members for putting the reunions together and hope to be able to attend.

Oceanside CA Teacher Married 2

Hi, everyone!
40 years sure went by in a hurry!  Here's a quick rundown.  Following college at San Diego State, I entered Navy Flight Training in Pensacola, FL.  I would not return to San Diego County to live for the next 12 years.  While in flight training, I went down to Corpus Christi, Texas, where I met my wife, Kay.  We were engaged 6 weeks after meeting and were married 5 months later (the day after I finished trainng.)  I flew students for a couple years, then got sent to Naval Weapons Station, Concord, CA for three years.   While there, our first son, Ryan (now 31) was born.  We then went to Kansas City, MO to attend seminary.  While there, our second son, Brock (now 26), was born.  After graduation and a couple years pastoring, I re-entered the Navy as a chaplain and came to Camp Pendleton.  Over the next 15 years, I had various tours up and down the coast (Except for that one in Japan where the whole family had to go.)  The boys are now grown and moved out.  Brock married a wonderful bride, Aryn.  They have a beautiful baby girl named Rylie Nicole.
I retired from the Navy in 2000, but didn't feel like really retiring.  So I kinda spent a few years figuring out what it was I really wanted to do.  After experimenting a little, I went back to school to get my teaching credential and am now working at Guajome Park Academy.
My wife, Kay, teaches 5th grade in Vista and wants to retire in a couple of years.
Many thanks to the reunion committee for making this means of communicating with the people who shaped us into the people we have become.  You're a great class!

Chula Vista CA Project Manager Married 2
Married to the most wonderful woman a little over 37 years.  We've been blessed with a daughter  (36) and a son (25).  Michele and Brent have have given us our first two granchildren (Keely, Colin) and Matt and Laurice our third, Kelly.  We can't get enough of our grandkids. They call us Namma and Poppa
I'm employed by the City of Chula Vista in Building/Parks responsible for all city facilities under construction and I love my job. I have no desire to retire. I'm hoping Tomi can retire in the next couple of years. Last year I had a bout with cancer and if it weren't for my wife, daughter and son the year would have been much tougher.  I am thankful that I have the support of family and good friends.
We both look forward to seeing everyone in October and rekindling friendships.

Weldon Spring MO H.S. Guidance Counselor/not currently employed Married 3
Hello, I did attend the 20th reunion, but the last 20 years sure have gone quickly.  All of my preschoolers are in their 20's and somewhat on their own.
Steve and I have been married for nearly 31 years and have moved more than a dozen times. Steve served in the U. S. Navy for 28 years and has since moved into the private sector which is how we ended up in the St. Louis area. Prior to that we lived in VA Beach, VA for eight years, where I was finally able to work for 5 1/2 yrs as a high school Guidance Counselor.  I really enjoyed the students and truely miss them.
Our children, Emily, 23, Andrew 21, and Phillip 21 remain in VA.  Emily graduated from the College of William & Mary and is gainfully employed in Arlington, VA.  Andrew is a senior at James Madison University and Phillip is in the 3rd year of a 5 year program at VA Tech. This move to Missouri was the most difficult, especially without the children.
Since moving here, I have become involved with the local Assistance League chapter which provides school uniforms and clothes for elementary age students.  I help oversee the children's activities while they are being fitted with their new clothes.  Along with church and learning to play Mah Jongg, I seem to keep busy while I comtemplate returning to the work force.  My husband is encouraging me to learn to play golf, since we live on 36 holes.  (I am still at the putt-putt level.)

I am looking forward to reconnectlng with my classmates.  It will also give me the opportunity to visit with my mother who still lives in the same house I grew up in and from which I walked many times to Hilltop High school.
